Doing More with Less

There are hard things mentioned in this article, but some of these limitations can be blessings in disguise.  Sometimes it is actually possible to accomplish more teaching with fewer resources.  When schools have too many resources, sometimes the bureaucracy can grow to megalithic all-consuming proportions so that the meetings and trainings and orientations for new tools never ends and the actual student-teacher relationships are way down the line on the priority lists.  But that doesn't happen in these little one teacher schools.  The abundance of freedom in this kind of opportunity is stunning and a great joy to me.
